Unless the new Blackberry Storm 2 is by some miracle a killer device I think it is time to move on- and I suspect that RIM will become the new Motorola of cell phones.

Amazon Should Syndicate its Reviews Data
I wish Amazon would syndicate out there review content to affiliates. Amazon reviews are far and away the single best source for evaluating a new purchase. If it gets lots of good reviews on Amazon, chances are it is good, if it gets panned, chances are it stinks. Amazon already has a zillion affiliates deep linking to lots of products, why not give the product reviews as well that they can contextually integrate onto their sites that also contain their affiliate ID. Amazon would instantly become the dominate review system for almost any product and also drive more sales.

Migration from a PC to a Mac
Been migrating from a PC to a Mac the last few weeks. While I hope to never be a die hard mac fanboi, there is a lot to like about the UI and the overall ease of using a mac. I still have a bunch of work productivity issues- we’ll see how the ease over time as I get more proficient. But for now, I am pretty happy, though excel on the mac is just lame. Window on Parallels is passable but still not the same…

How to take better pictures on your blackberry or iphone
The single best thing I have found to taking better pictures on a camera phone is perhaps the most obvious and dumbest of all: clean the camera lens! We jam our phones into our pockets and coats and bags and the lens gets covered with dirt and dust. Wipe it and your pictures will be 10x better right away. It also helps to:
1. photograph things that are stationary more or less
2. Have a well lit subject (the bb flash is lame)
3. Hold the phone very steady
4. Take several photos to get the best one

Nobex Radio Companion for Blackberry
I wasn’t super into this application, but the latest version that I got when I upgraded my BB OS to 4.5x has me sold. Pick a radio station (even those not in your home market like KCRW in LA!) and add it to your list- then you can not only get a complete list of all the tracks played but you can select any track and play it in real time. It works especially well over wifi. So now when you want to check on what you heard- and listen to it, you can do so in real time. Nice work Nobex.
